Well...like I said yesterday, I'm going to share "shocks of awareness" with you. This morning I made my first homemade mango salsa. It was incredible even before it sat for the hour the recipe, that I tweaked quite a bit, called for. I used fresh herbs out of our garden called basil and parsley. The fresh mint went straight into green tea that I will serve up along with our meal. What a difference fresh herbs can make as you cut them and savor them in the dishes we prepare. No need to pay for an expensive spa treatment! My hands smell delicious....HA! I can't wait for my daughter, Mallory, to taste test our new gourmet dish tonight. We're having rubbed salmon with mango salsa and fresh asparagus. I love the summer full of freshness and sunshine.
Speaking of sunshine, what a glorious morning, waking up with the bluest sky I've seen this summer. Did I say I feel refreshed? My husband Lee and our oldest, also named Lee are out together playing golf somewhere in Alabama...I couldn't be happier to know that they are together swinging their irons. I also hope they uphold the Hamilton honor by NOT improving their lies. Golfers integrity is a must. I don't know why they call the place where a ball lands, its' lie. Weird hey?? Hope the weather is as good there as it is here. I'm going out to enjoy the sun.
I'll let you know how Mal likes the dinner tomorrow.....until then buenos dias!
